Abstract：Usingtheindexofbuildingoccupyniglandproportion andbuildnigconstructionproportion， the
auhtorsstudiedthecharacteristicsnadrulesoftheexistingbuildnigconstitutionandhteirspatialdistributions
from districts，functionalregions，loopnigareasaroundtheirfunctionalgroupcenterscaletowholeLanzhou
city viathe databased on thehighlypreciseSatelliteImagenadmethodsofmassivefieldworkGIS
technologynadmathstatistics．IneachfunctionalandloopnigareaofLanzhoucity，kindsofbuildingsraeni
fastrenewingconditions,Thebuildingsnieachfunctionalnadloopingareamostlyindustrialoneswhilehte
othersraeforlivinguse．In1970s，therewaslessdifferenceinthepercentageofthesetwokindsofbuildnigs．
ItisevidentialhtatthelivingbuildinginLanzhouhasbeenpredominnatinalldisrtictsandallloopingareas
raoundtheirfunctionalrgoupcentersexcepthteloopingareaaroundXigugroupcenters．Actually，themost
partsoftheolderlivingbuildingsarehteonesof”villageinsidecity”，theliving， industrialandcommercial
buildingsareleadingtypesofLnazhou’sbuildings， nadhtefirstone’sproportionisnicreasinglygoingup
everywherewhilehtesecond’sdecreasing，buttheirtotalproportionexceeds92％ ofwholebuildings，andthe
living building occupying land proportion and building construction proportion is 60％ nad 72．3％
