Teaching Aims:
知识目标:(1)Using formulaic expressions to greet people at Christmas. e.g. Merry Christmas.
(2)To offer people things and express thanks.
e.g. Here are your presents.
Thank you.
能力目标:Using new expressions to make dialogue.
情感目标:To enjoy the happy atmosphere at Christmas.
Difficult and key point: Patterns: Merry Christmas.
Here are your presents.
Teaching Procedure:
教学步骤 方法与手段 补充与修改 Warming up Say rhymes. Revision Listen, repeat and act.
e.g. T: Swim.
S: Swim, swim, swim.
I like to swim.
2. Make short dialogues. Presentation To learn “Merry Christmas.
1) Enjoy the song Merry Christmas
T: Do you like this music? When do we here it ?
2) Show Santa Claus.( a puppet) and say : Merry Christmas.
Explain Christmas.
3) Say the expression after the tape.
4) Practice one by one.
5) Invite students to play Santa Claus (mask) and say “Merry Christmas.”
Presentation To learn “Here are your presents.” “Thank you.”
T: At Christmas, what do you want to do? Do you want to receive a present?
Show a present and say present
Put the picture on the board. Put the word card under the picture.
Show many presents and say presents.
Point to the presents and say: Here are your presents. Are you happy?
Read the sentence.
Invite students to play Santa Claus and say: Here are your presents.
The rests say: Thank you. Consolidation Read after the tape.
Act out the dialogue.
