Classification of safety protective clothing in electric power industry inclu ding electric arc protective clothing. shielding cloth for hot-line work ,high voltage static protective clothing ,weld ing clothing ,highly visible warning clothing and so on was introduced. Application status and existing problems in safety protective clothing in electric power industry were analyzed from aspects like protection awareness ,protec- tion property and protection standard ,etc. It is considered that research and development need to be strengthened in aspect5 of functionality , comfort ,appearance , style and 50 on. Relative standard should be drafted a5 500n as possible to provide reliable safety protection for workers in electric industry.
