AbstractEnglishclassroomisthemainplaceforChinesestudentstolearnEnglish,andteachertalkplaysanimportantroleintheprocessofEnglishteaching.ItmeansEnglishteachersshouldpayattentiontotheirexpressioninEnglishclasses.ButinChina,mostoftheresearchesaretheoreticalandZhaoXiaohong(1998)isthefirstscholartoresearchtheamountofteachertalk.Thestudyselectstwoteachersand104studentswhocomefromGuangDongKuangWeiyuJuniorHighSchool.Duringthetwo-monthclassroomobservations,theresearcherwantstoanswertwoquestions:1)WhatarethefeaturesofteachertalkinJuniorHighSchool?2)HowdoesteachertalkinfluencestudentsEnglishlearning?Thisresearchisbasedonthe“InputHypothesis”,“OutputHypothesis”and“InteractionHypothesis”andtheresearcherusesclassroomobservation,questionnaireandinterviewtostudythetwoquestions.Firstofall,theresearchrecordsthewholeclasses;second,atthemiddleofthesemester,theresearcherhandsout50questionnairestoClass1;andattheendofthesemester,theresearcherinterviewsMrs.Geand6studentsfromClass1.Themainfindingsofthisstudyarepresentedasfollows:1)Teachertalktimeoccupies58%ofthewholeclasses,whicharemorethanstudentstalktime;2)TeachersspeakmoreChinesethanEnglish,becausethestudentsareGrade1;3)Teachersasksdifferentquestionsaccordingtotheteachingcontents,buttheyprefertousedisplayquestions;4)Teacherscangiveimmediatelyfeedback,buttheformistoosimple;5)Teachersprefertousesimplesentencesandhighfrequencyvocabulary;6)Teachers?pronunciationsarestandard;7)Teachers?speechratearenormal,sometimestherateisslow;8)StudentsthinkteachertalkcaninfluencetheirEnglishlearning.Attheendofthisstudy,theresearcherstatesthepedagogicalperspectives:1)teachersneedtopayattentiontothequalityandquantityofteachertalk;2)Teachersneedtopayattentiontotheirlanguagebehaviors;3)teachersneedtopayattentiontothewayofcommunicationwithstudents.KeyWords:teachertalk,juniorhighschoolEnglishClassroom,Englishlearning摘要英语课堂是中国学生学习英语的主要场所，因此教师话语在学生学习英语的过程中发挥着重要的作用。这意味着英语教师应该更加注意在课堂中的话语的表达方式。但是，国内之前的研究更倾向与理论研究，对于教师话语的实证研究始于赵晓红(1998)对教师话语所占比例的研究。本文以广州邝维煜纪念中学的教师与学生为研究对
