ii ii Abstract In modern society, the Business English has become the common tools of economic interchange and trade events. With the development of economic globalization, the Business English plays an important role. In order to win the bid of Sustainable Tourism Conference, Cork submitted Cork Conference Bid Document. The author of this report selects Cork Conference Bid Document as the proper source text of translation. The author hopes to apply the translational theories, skills and strategies to practice, summarizes the problems of translation processes and improves translation ability. This translation report is a summary of the process of text translation. Firstly, the author describes the features of source text: lexical level, bid document has some characteristics which include the specialized vocabulary is densification, the common vocabulary is specialization and the simple vocabulary is complication; syntactic level, this source text contains some long sentences, passive sentences, modal sentences and elliptical sentences; textual level, bid document has some characteristics of format, cohesion and coherence. Secondly, the author describes the process of translation, including sections of preparation, superficial translation, back translation, revision. Thirdly, the author analyzes some translation instances from the perspectives of lexical level, syntax level and textual level. On the lexical level, the author focuses on the translation strategies of conversion, amplification, omission and polysemy, such as conversion from verbs to nouns, amplification of conjunctions; on the syntactic level, the author focuses on the translation strategies of phrasing and combining method, semantic alternation, modal tone, negation, such as splitting to integrating of long sentences, passive to active conversion of translation; on the textual level, the author focuses on the translation strategies of format, cohesion and coherence, such as translation of date, hyponym
