The The rsearch of echo cancellor and its testing methodology Abstract Nowadays，communication system has been used all over the world． Communication can make our life more convenient．Otherwise，if there is something wrong with the communication system，we will have difficult with our life and work．Echo has a major bad effect to voice quality in telecommunication networks．Echo may make US difficult in talking or listening over a telephone connection．It may also affect the transmission of voiceband data，fax and text．For a long time people have been dedicated into finding good solutions to solve the echo problem How to cancel echo?There are many ways． This paper will research echo-canceller,and raise a methodology tO test the capability of echo—canceller．In accordance with G．1 68 recommendation，I design and implement all echo-generator to test the echo．．canecller in CDMA2000 1X system． There are 7 parts in the paper．The first part is forward．The second part explains the reason of echo．and classifyies echo according to the reason which is a basis for further research．The third part analyzes all sorts of echo cancelling solutions．According to different application scenario．there are various kinds of echo cancelling methods，from the cancelling cancelling of acoustics echo to electric circuit echo，from the early time echo inhibitor to current echo cancellor,which are all investicated in this article The fourth part investgates a few echo cancelling algorithms．It summarizes the algorithm principles of current classicla mainstream echo cancelling and compare the performance between different algorithms The fifth chapter comprehensively analyzes G 1 68 standard．which is a specification for the design of echo cancellor in digital communication network and it also define a series of testing procedures The sixth chapter discusses in more detail the desgin and implementation of echo·producing controler．Based on G．1 68 standard various kinds of echo paths and signal sources are
