T asks Ss to read after the recording then provides Ss six sentences about Jim Robert and his team, then asks Ss to tell them true or false according to text “The Life of a Firefighter” and correct the false ones. In the meanwhile, collect the six answers as examples. 1) Jim gets up at 5:20. 2) The firefighters tidy the room. 3) They do not have much time to have breakfast. 4) Jim runs every morning. 5) They have lunch at 12:00. 6) Jim doesn’t go to bed at 20:00. T shows Ss the four examples and elicits Ss to find out different verb forms of each sentence and then make a summary about the forms of positive present simple tense. After that, T elicits Ss to collect the two patterns about negative simple present tense, and then make a summary about the forms of negative present simple tense.
