Difficult point: Act out a telephone enquiry to become a volunteer in a new situation 教学过程(表格描述) 教学环节 主要教学活动 设置意图 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Students watch a video about charities and volunteers with a question raised by teacher. Q: Which charities are mentioned in the video? What can volunteers do for the charities? 2. Students read “Did you know?” individually on Page 19 of students’ book to get some information of charities and volunteers in Britain and China. Teacher invites students to talk what else they know about the topic and add more relevant information. To have more background knowledge about charities and volunteers. To stimulate students’ interest to become volunteers. Step 2 Pre- listening Teacher asks students if someone wants to help in charities, how they can become a volunteer to help, what they need to think about or prepare before applying for the job. They can refer to the form in Activity 8 for help. Possible things one needs to know: 1). What’s the aim of the charity? 2). What can you help with? 3). What information do they need about you? 4).
