Step 1: Story
Introduce the sound /w/ using a story.
(Teacher may use Chinese when necessary.)
T: What do you see in this picture?
Ss: I see wind, tree and a man. The man is holding an umbrella.
T: Aesop told a fable about the wind and the sun. Do you wanna listen to the story?
Ss: Yeah!
T: The west wind and the sun are having an argument about which of them is the strongest. The west wind says to the sun, “You see that man down there? I bet I can blow so hard that his coat comes off. The west wind blows and blows, 7w/, /w/, /w/,but the man hangs on to his warm coat. The harder the wind blows, the more tightly the man

教师通过故事引入今天要学习 的字母音/W/。学生模仿练习/W/ 的发音并了解字母W的发音为 /w/o
