The planning area is only 1km away from Shekou Ferry Terminal and 25km away from Shenzhen Futian CBD area. Regional Transpotation The planning area enjoys rather convenient transportation, as it is within close proximity to the Shekou Ferry Terminal with ferry services to the surrounding regions such as Hong Kong’s Central District, Kowloon District, the HK Airport, Zhuhai and Macau. Main urban trunk road such as the Nanhai Boulevard and sub-trunk road Taizi Road are the major traffic roads connecting to the Marine World.Wanghai Road is currently under contruction and will connect to Shenzhen Bay Port to the east, while approaching to Shekou Ferry Terminal to the west that envisions to be a major view corridor in Shekou Area. Moreover, it is approximately 1 hour driving distance from Hong Kong Central Area through Western Corridor. Metro Line 2 of the Shenzhen Metro will be opening in Year 2010 with the proposed Marine World Station. After the construction and opening, Metro Line 2 will connect to other metro lines accessing to other districts within the Shenzhen Metro Area.
