The language of this passage is very easy to understand, but we should lead students to know more about the article’s logical structure. Through task-based reading activities, students are expected to improve reading comprehension including skimming and scanning for detailed information of the reading text. Furthermore, the teacher will guide students to think deeply and explore the meaning of beauty. Part2 The analysis of the students As senior 2 Ss, they have mastered some useful words and expressions. And have basic skills for reading, speaking, and writing. However, some are still not active in the class, so I’ll try to create a friendly and relaxing atmosphere and make Ss the masters of my class. In a word, The Ss will learn to communicate, cooperate with others and form good learning methods at the same time. Part3 Teaching aims 1.Knowledge aims. To help ss master some useful words, expressions and understand the meaning of the passage 2.Ability aims. To improve ss’ reading skills, such as, skimming and scanning, and use the phrases and sentences learned in the passage to express ourselves. 3.Emotional aims. By learning this lesson, the students should learn to develop a positive attitude towards beauty and life. Part4 Key points and difficult points Key points: Complete relevant reading tasks, obtain information from the text and understand the true meaning of life. Difficult points: 1.After reading the passage, ss should learn to analyse the article’s purpose. 2.By learning this lesson, the students should learn to develop a positive attitude towards beauty and life.
