Warm-up
Sing a song :My new pen pal
 Let the students guess “What is Pen Pal?” 
  Here PPT shows: Pen Pal =Pen Friend (a person you get to know by writing letters or emails)
Presentation
Talk about my pen pal, Anna,then introduce her hobbies:
a. Show picture 1:What is her hobby?   She likes doing kung fu.
b. Show picture 2:What is her hobby?   She likes climbing mountains.
c. Show picture 3:What is her hobby?   She likes playing the pipa.
d. Show picture 4:What is her hobby?   She likes singsing.
She especially likes singing two songs . Then listen to them, let the Ss guess the song’s name:
Let it go(An English song)  Jasmine Flower ( A Chinese song)
Show the pictures about jasmine flower ,then learn the new words, read after the tape. Here T says: This song is very beautiful. After class, if i’m not busy. I’m going to teach you this Chinese song “Jasmine Flower”.
 Show a picture of Peter, Zhang Peng’s new pen pal. Zhang Peng is talking about him with Oliver.Let’s try: Listen to the tape, and then write T or F.
Do you want to know more about Peter? Zhang Peng is talking with Oliver about Peter. Let’s listen to the tape. Then answer my questions: 
What are Peter’s hobbies?
Listen again, then answer the other two questions:
   What are Oliver’s hobbies? / Does Oliver like swimming and doing kung fu?
   What are Zhang Peng’s hobbies? / Does Zhang Peng like singing?
Listen to the tape again, Then read after the tape.
Two students in a group: Talk about your best friend’s hobbies. Then make a dialogue:
