•Theglobaltransitionstandsatacriticalcrossroads.Adecadeafterthe

ParisAgreementclimateimpactsareaccelerating:2024wasthehottestyearonrecord,withdirectclimatedamagesreachingUSD300bnandbroader

economiclossesinthetrillions.Currenttrendspointtowardwarmingabove

+3°Cby2100,asglobalemissionsfailedtofullydecouplefromeconomic

growthandcontinuedtheirupwardtrendoverthepastdecade.Keeping

warmingbelow2°Cwillrequirerapidelectrification,steepcutsinfossil-

fueluse,andaccelerateddeploymentofcleantechnologies.WithCOP30

underwayinBelém,thedecisionsmadethisyearwillbepivotalinshapingtheglobalclimatetrajectoryforthenextdecade.

•Progresshasaccelerated,butmajor(investment)gapsremain.Renewablesovertookcoalinglobalpowerproductioninthefirsthalfof2025andlow-

carbonelectricitycapacityhasexpanded+53%since2015.Clean-energycostshavefallensharply-solarby87%,windby48–55%andbatteriesbyover80%

-makingthembroadlycost-competitivewithfossilfuelbasedalternatives.

LowcarboninvestmenthasreachedUSD2.1trn,up78%overthedecade,yetaUSD2.6trnannualmitigationgapremainsthrough2030.

•TheAllianzGreenTransitionTrackerrevealsbothgrowingmomentumandwideningdivergence.TheTrackerevaluates69countriesacrossfiveindicators

-carbonandenergyintensity,consumption-andterritorial-basedemissions

percapita,andtheshareoflow-carbonelectricity-throughtwodimensions:thePeerScore,whichcomparescurrentperformanceacrosscountries,and

theProgressScore,whichmeasureseachcountry’spaceofdecarbonization

relativetoits2015baselineandthe2050net-zerotarget.
