故事教学,是一种充满趣味性的情境教学。通过听读故事,复述故事,交流、分享,
演练故事等教学环节,将英文单词、词组、短语、句子等教学内容以故事的形式,教授给
学生。学生在参与故事教学过程中,提高学习兴趣,建立对语言表达的信心,获得成功体
验,同时也了培养学习习惯,有助于更好掌握英语听说能力,形成综合运用语言与创新能
力。
本文试图通过故事研究和实践来阐释故事教学的现实意义及其推广模式,在反思现实课
堂教学的基础上,阐述故事教学的内涵,把故事教学模式深入农村学校课堂,激发学生学
习英语的兴趣,提高学习的积极性和主动性,实现有效的故事听说教学。
英文摘要
Story-based approach is regarded as an intriguing situational teaching method, which involves
various teaching procedures such as listening to and reading the story, retelling the story, sharing
the story and role-playing the story. Through this approach, teaching content, namely English
words and expressions and sentences, can be instructed to students in the form of story. In the
course of story-based approach, students can get more interested in what they are learning and
have the courage to express themselves in English. Additionally, they can not only be inspired to
think innovatively but also be provided with experience to success. What’s more, it is also helpful
for students to cultivate learning habits. Last but not least,the story-based approach can help
students improve their listening and speaking and thus make them have better conversational and
communicative ability in English.
This article is mainly designed to demonstrate practical significance of story-based approach by
making a research in a rural primary school. Secondly, it also explains the essence of story-based
approach on the basis of the author’s reflections on realistic classroom instruction. Finally, it is
suggested that story teaching models should be adopted in rural primary schools’ classrooms to
stimulate pupils’ interest in English learning and arouse their enthusiasm and initiative in
classroom activities.
