PAGE PAGE IV Abstract In this paper, the classical works in two editions Chinese textbook of peoples education press are as the research objects. They are the 2003 edition and the 2007 edition textbooks. This article adopt the method is content analysis method and comparison method. I mainly discussed and analysis the selection in these two editions Chinese textbook about classical works. Mainly from the classical quantity Selected structure, era, the contents of the selected articles, as well as grammar important difficulties to carry a comparative analysis of two editions of textbooks. by comparing the two editions we can found that each of that have own selected characteristics. Such as the 03 edition textbooks selected many texts, emphasis on importance to grasp the classical foundation, and basic layout classical order in literary history. The 07 editions respect individual learning differences, and carried out in accordance with the cognitive rules. Textbook Selected still encounter many problems, such as the election papers bridging problems and how combined with the era now. These problems obstruct the classical teaching, and therefore need to actively improve these problems. The selection and design of teaching materials is a systematic project. it includes all aspects of the problem, so a comprehensive analysis is very difficult. I have some the Edition and Selection recommendations for some of the problems encountered in the two editions textbook. Pay attention to the number in the text selection standards, nether too much nor too little. From the students receive to strengthen the interest cultivation. Strengthen convergence with junior high school textbooks and the era of the selected articles. We have to moderately reduce the degree of difficulty in classical works. From the scheduling order to we need pay attention to the arrangement of systemic, comprehensiveness and arrangement the order from easy to difficult. Key word: The senior middle school
