ABSTRACT ABSTRACT The intergenerational compensation,as a new concept in the environmental law,has become the national major issues in China. Future generations have their own rights and interests,so the economic development should not only focus on contemporary people,but also have to benefit future generations.The current way of development has serious impact on the development of future generations.Deterioration of environment brought about humans showing concern for intergenerational ethics. The problem of equity between generations should be recognized as the principal problem of sustainable development.But on the contrary,our current environmental law show little concern for future generations. The current and future generations together hole the whole world,so we must devote ourselves to research the Intergenerational compensation mechanism.Only in this way, can we thoroughly solve environmental problems and realize sustainable development in deed.
