To learn the vocabulary of Unit 6. 2. To learn some expressions about dinner. Main points: 1. Memory of the vocabulary about food and some simple expressions about dinner Difficult points: Understanding the listening material on P80 (Warming up) and some simple expressions. Teaching Methods: Asking and answering questions, listening and speaking Teaching Procedure: Step I: Lead in: (10 mins) T: 1. Good morning, class. What’s the date today? What day is it today? Is every one here? 2. What do you usually have for breakfast / lunch / supper? What’s your favorite food? T: Today we are going to learn something about food and dinner. Now open the book on P79. Let’s look at this picture. Could you tell me: 1. Where are they? 2. What are they doing? 3. How many customers are there in the pictures? Step II: Learn the vocabulary on P165~166. (15 mins) Ss read aloud the words of Unit 6. T corrects the Ss’ pronunciation. Step III: Warming up (60 mins) Ss read aloud the words in Part 1(P 80), and then match. Fast respond to T about words. Answer the questions. Q: What do you usually have for meals? Do you often help your parents cook at home? Read aloud the words, close the book and listen to the dialogue. Answer Q: Is Peter hungry? What’s in the fridge?
