SectionB 2a-3b 教学设计 一、教材分析   第五单元文化氛围浓厚,介绍了国内外不同的节日。本课时是第五单元SectionB部分的第二课时,围绕西方国家的一个重要节日——圣诞节展开教学内容,侧重对节日的文化内涵的输入,让学生深入的理解西方文化。通过一篇阅读文章,呈现了一系列相关的词汇和重点句型,引导学生对阅读进行深层次的理解,旨在培养学生的推断能力。阅读语篇通过探讨圣诞节的精神,让学生明白以下道理:关爱、同情及怜悯之心是人类社会的宝贵财富,人人应当将之继承弘扬,以爱心回报社会。 二、学情分析 通过对本单元前几个课时的学习,学生对节日文化的学习有了清晰的思路,为本课时的学习打下了基础。大部分中国学生对圣诞节并不陌生,但是对其内涵和意义却未必熟知。这就需要教师进行适当的铺垫和引导,减少因背景文化积累不足带来的学习压力。八年级的学生具备一定数量的英语知识储备,已经掌握一些简单的阅读技巧,但对语篇的深入理解还需加强训练。 三、教学目标: 知识目标:Read to learn about the spirit of Christmas; learn new words and expressions 能力目标:learn to use the reading strategy ---inferring 情感目标:spread the spirit of Christmas 四、教学重难点: 重点:Use reading strategies to understand the passage. 难点:learn to use the new reading strategy---inferring. 教学方法: task-based language teaching, communicative teaching 六、教学手段:多媒体 七、教学过程 Step1 Pre-reading 1:Warm up T: Play the English song---Jingle Bells Ss: Enjoy the song and sing along with it. Purpose: make students relaxed and lead in the new lesson. 2: introduce teaching objectives to Ss 3.Ask and answer:What do you know about Christmas? T:Show the mind map of Christmas and ask questions. Ss:Answer questions. Purpose: make students brainstorm what they have already known about Christmas and be ready to know more about Christmas. 4.See the movie---A Christmas Carol Purpose: make students curious about Scrooge and want to know more about the story . Step2 While-reading 1.fast reading T:show the questions: Who wrote A Christmas Carol? Who are the characters of the story? Ss:skim the passage to get the answers Purpose: make students get a overall understanding of the passage. 2.careful reading T: lead Ss to read each paragraph to finish four tasks and introduce the new reading strategy---inferring. Ss: read each paragraph and find out the answers;learn to infer the answer while reading. Task1:read para1and answer the question: What’s the true meaning of Christmas? Task2:read para2 then answer questions:
