Abst r actIn this article, on the basis of investigations over rural cultural products, based on theories of public product supply, material construction and cultural poverty theory, many approaches have been applied in the study, including article search, questionnaires investigation, face-to-face interviews, theoretical analysis and on-the-spot investigation. In this article, startingwith a theoretical discussion of the Meaning, status and problems and countermeasures of rural public cultural products, a framework of research focuses and research hypothesis was proposed. A constructive model has been established to simulate the relationship among rural public cultural products supplies and rural cultural poverty. This article proposed three hypotheses. H1—In the rural area, there is a positive correlation between public cultural products supplies and the level of cultural developments(Unbalanced supplies of public cultural products result in cultural poverty in rural area); H2—Significant differences in supplies of cultural products exist in different regions. On the basis of these two hypotheses, 21 sub-hypothesis have been proved or partly proved to be true.In order to verify the overall model and related assumptions, the study in this article is based on respondents from 11 provincial cities in 38 cities (districts), 78 townships (towns) and 167 Village. 905 copies of effectively-responded questionnaires were collected. On the data recovery of Hebei rural aeras public cultural goods and cultural development of the status quo level of characteristics , the standardized empirical analysis ware also utilized to test the proposed hypothesis, most of which were proved to be true.It is proved that the unbalanced supplies of public cultural products in rural area in Hebei province lead to constructive cultural poverty.
