Lesson 9 When Is It？ 一．学情分析 四年级的学生已经掌握了一定的英语单词及词汇、用语。在此基础上，让学生理解本课中描述六个节日的英文表达法，及用语When is it? It is_______ .对话。学生对日期表达上可能会有一些困难，通过本课的学习力求达到学生可以积极地完成练习和回答问题。 二．教学目标 1、学生能听懂、会说、认读节日名称,并能够用英语表述节日的具体时间，能就节日的话题开展简单的交流。 短语：New Year’s Day, the Spring Festival，International Workers’ Day, Children’s Day, Teachers’ Day, National Day 句型：When is_____？It’s_____. 2、通过歌曲导入、看图猜节日等环节, 激发学生的学习兴趣, 充分调动学生参与课堂活动的积极性。 通过小组问答、小组合作等形式培养学生合作学习的能力。 3、学生形成适合自己的学习策略，在学习中积极思考，主动探究，善于发现语言规律并能运用规律举一反三。 三．教学重点 1、正确使用句式“When is...? It’s...”进行问答 2、熟练进行节日的表达 四．教学准备 PPT课件，单词卡片 五．教学过程 StepⅠ Warming up Greeting and Review Greeting Let’s enjoy the video! [ 设计思路：通过观看生日视频，帮助学生快速进入英语学习语境，为接下来的教学做好铺垫。] Leading: T:Whose birthday? S：Its Peppe’s birthday T:Hello,Steven. When is your birthday？（问数个学生此问题）Now I’d like to tell you my birthday.My birthday is January the fist.It’s also New Year’s Day. [设计意图：由视频和对话引出New Year’s Day，并通过提问孩子们来学习元旦的表达方式。] 3. 展示元旦的图片，让学生体验真实的语言语境。 StepⅡ Presentation Let’s enjoy more festivals 通过ppt出示节日图片，学习the Spring Festival.同样步骤教授其他四个节日(International Workers’ Day/Children’s Day/Teachers’ Day/National Day)。 2、教师运用多种方法进行领读（小组读、个人读），并纠正发音。 3、对上面游戏最后呈现的节日提问 “When is it?”，让学生初步感知，便于接下来的教学。 提问T:When is International Workers’ Day? S:It’s May the first. 提问多个学生，并简述日期的正确表达形式。 4、同样步骤教授其他五个节日的日期 Step Ⅲ Practice 1、Bomb game Choose the correct festival and fill in the blank. What’s missing. [ 设计意图：用练习和游戏的方式巩固所学知识。] Step Ⅳ Production 1、图片和句型搭配练习。(图片展示) 2、通过填空这个环节，巩固已学知识，并培养学生良好的语感。 New Years Day is_______________.
